Making targets a reality: Consulting on the replacement of production systems
The Swiss radio and television company planned to replace its existing post-production systems for the genres of News, Sport, Multimedia and Magazine at its locations in the four language regions of Switzerland. To do so, it hired FLYING EYE to analyze the workflows and then define target processes.
We documented the variety of existing workflows and production profiles in the individual editorial offices. Based on our findings about the actual situation and the resulting specifications and requirements, we developed target processes for the various genres. We held workshops with all of the people involved, and worked as a team to create a future-oriented vision.
Our work set a paradigm shift in motion. The company is now thinking and making plans nationwide, in a networked way and with an “online-first” attitude. By reflecting extensively on their own work, the employees became more motivated and we were able to initiate a change process. In addition, SRG now has an important basis for future tenders.
