Algorithms help with marketing: Consulting for the MECANEX EU innovation project

Since early 2015, FLYING EYE has been working with six partner companies and/or research institutions on MECANEX, an EU innovation project. The result of this joint activity is a prototype for the semi-automated preparation of videos used in online marketing.

We documented the requirements of users and investors, then worked with all of the project participants to assign them priorities. This process allowed us to re-evaluate and minimize technical risks. In addition, we focused the project on the most important tool sets. Then we developed use cases based on the identified and documented user requirements. Finally, we described and evaluated the usage scenarios in an evaluation and benchmarking process.

The newly developed tool set offers an entirely new combination of different tools. Productions can now access a constantly growing volume of material in the production process and evaluate archival material using online portals, for instance. In addition, AI-based algorithms allow content to be accessed automatically and reused in the online video area through semantic localization.
