On the site of a former military airport, the so-called "Butzweilerhof" in Cologne-Ossendorf, Europe's largest and state-of-the-art Media & Production complex had emerged until the end of 1999. In order to implement the production crafts, MMC relied on FLYING EYE's professional experience and project management know-how.

 

The extremely fast progress of construction work also required that the installation process of the production crafts were to be subjected to a tight project management. This affected both deadline management and cost management, due to the fact that the broadcast of the "Deutsche Fernsehpreis" was already scheduled to take place in the new premises in October.

 

The project was an outstanding technical challenge, because in all the 20 studios, altogether with a total area of 20.000 sqm, a procedure for a cost saving employment of all the necessary technology is being utilised.
